    Thumbs up

But that is beyond the point. YES, that sounds like a common occurrence for anxiety/panic. In fact, I had something similar happen to me while I was taking a practice exam: my abs tightened up and felt as if they were going to completely snap, and my mind was racing. And for your third paragraph, I feel just like this whenever I have an anxiety attack too.

What was the trigger behind your panic attack in the meeting? Do you know?
    Thanks for the reply.

I have had anxiety ever since I was a little girl. It is definitely heightened by stress. I work full time and am also doing an MBA masters part time too which puts a lot of pressure on me.

I find it is the physical symptoms which effect me the most. I always seem to have a headache and get random pains all over head and neck. Does anyone else experience this?

Talking about this is definitely helping as it appears people also experience what I do and I am not alone!

Physical symptoms are common with anxiety and stress. i've had 24/7 symptoms for 5 years. Thankfully with reading and understanding anxiety more and taking control of things the symptoms are a lot less frequent these days.

How strong, how costly, the urge to fight our fate and turn back time. But life is meant to be consumed, not preserved to ward off doom. One can surely die from fear, before the end is ever near.

The symptom I find strangest is a sort of "unspecified" tension. That is, when I feel tense or on-edge even though there is nothing in particular I can identify that I am concerned about. This is not the most severe stress I suffer -- my anxiety is much worse when there is something in particular that I am worried about -- but I do find it odd to be stressed and anxious about "nothing."

I totally understand this. It's very strange. Even though I don't think it's from " nothing" ... It sure feels like it.
I don't drink alcohol much... But some of my worst panic attacks happen the next day during a hangover... Horrible!

Everyone! It's been a blessing to find these forums and understand anxiety! I had a really bad attack last night where my nerves went off! Felt like I couldn't breathe and my wife whom has been an angel got up and made me chamamiel tea! I took a hot bath at 3am lol! But it helped! Is it typical or in a lot of cases to have these attacks at night? That's when I seem to be having them

Hahaha! I never really have them at night... I sleep pretty well. It's the afternoons that I get them mostly.

I get this sort of thing too. Usually it begins with something minorly distressing on my mind (if it was something major, then my anxiety would almost exclusively be fixed on THAT, on the contrary) but then it explodes into a huge attack where something feels "off" but I have no idea as to what it is.

His Cobweb1985. I have suffered GAD for most of my life, and have experienced tension headaches and migraine all my life as well. Probably not a coincidence.
