View Full Version : Anxiety or brain tumor? Please help!!!!

hey everyone i am a 13 year old female that suffered with anxiety two years back, i dealt with it, but now i am unsure weather i am seriously dying.

i am worried i have a brain tumor, the doctor diagnosed me with TMJ a month a go and then i went again because i am getting symptoms like; headaches in the SAME SPOT, muscle twitching (mainly legs and feet, arms, hands, back, hips, fingers) OCCASIONAL nausea with no vomiting, dizziness (not feeling faint, more vertigo) feeling tired sometimes, no light or sound sensitivity!! the doctor told me she was convinced it was anxiety, but my mum was telling her that, my mum is useless, she thinks the best in everything, she even doubted that my uncle had cancer, and then it turned out to be a malignant terminal bowel cancer! i need someone to tell me the truth, it anxiety or a brain tumor? i am very scared, not a day has gone by where i have not had at least 2 of the symptoms, and i can't relax, if i'm at school i try to stay relaxed, but its on my mind for the whole day, i cannot relax where ever i am! i try not to worry, but the symptoms start to come, and then i start to worry.. i am so scared, i am almost convinced myself i have a tumor growing! please help i am so scared, i'm to young to deal with this on my own :(:(

ellen its very very rare for some one as young as your self to have a brain tumor... i have the same symptoms and have done for 7 years now if that means i have a tumor would i not be dead ? ;) because we suffer from muscle tightening we get nerves pinching so the head ache will feel like its the same spot because its the same nerve being pinched now with the twitching this is related to the tightening and your nerves going mad because your in the fight or flight mode (anxiety) sickness is also related to anxiety i have never been sick and with brain tumors you will be getting sick no end and 90% of the time people get light sensitivity the dizziness is the biggest part of anxiety most people get it try to remember what the symptoms feel like and what is normal to you daily and remember to say to your self nothing has changed i can still walk and talk and use my hand and feet im fine... trust me honey you are ok breath and relax till you start wetting your self i would not worry :) if you need a chat drop me a message :)

Very very unlikely you have a brain tumor!!! Very likely you have health anxiety. I know a lot about the latter because I have had it for 30 years. As has beenpointed out, you are too young for a brain tumor but just likely right for major hormonal changes which can cause anxiety!!

Breath deeply and do anything but worry. I highly reccomend exercise, hard exercise for 20-30 mins when you get this again. Workout, take a shower and read a good book, watch a movie, watch TV, call a friend.

your mind is playing tricks on you. You control it and keep yourself busy. These anxious thought will go away.
