Hi just a quick word on Cipralex......

Anyone esle taken this? The doctor put me on it today for Anxiety and having obsessive thoughts of death :unsure:

hi i was also put on cipralex, i too was havin obsessive thoughts of death, it consumed every moment of my day (and night)
i never thought i'd get back to normal and be able to live life without thinkin of death but lookin back to what i was like, i feel so so much better. i hardly ever have these thoughts.........

Sounds normal for an anxiety and depression sufferer, SSRI's can be very effective in treating both anxiety and depression, If you do get side effects they should pass in the first couple of weeks. However dont expect to be cured overnight its not like taking a headache tablet it takes on average 6 weeks for the tablets to have full effect.

Its worth considering that tablets alone arent the answer, try to get to see a therapist regarding CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) and councilling.
