The AMA (American Medical Association) and the APA (American Psychiatric Association) came to an agreement that SSRI's should be made available to the nation's youth for treating mental disorders. They stated that antidepressants have not been found to be a cause for increased suicides among the young, and are calling for a review of FDA regulatory actions.

Here's also a quick link to an article on the ADAA (Anxiety Disorders Association of America) website which gives a brief overview of the 'black box warning' on antidepressant medications. It mentions that there has been no reported suicides in any studies involving these medications - only suicidal thoughts.
