Hello all! First post on here. Not really sure where to begin.

I feel inherently confident in myself and my ability to do well in most social situations but I feel as though there is something physical holding me back. I am sometimes shy in new and unfamiliar groupings which I understand is normal but i've got to almost battle with adrenaline which seems to take over. I'm not even sure if others are aware of this but it's beginning to be a real problem. Shaky hands and an almost inability to speak clearly are common for me in situations where I am not completely comfortable. Initiating a conversation with someone in these circumstances is pretty much impossible.

I understand beta blockers are a common remedy for physical symptoms of anxiety, do you think they may be of use to me to hinder adrenaline absolutely destroying my ability to socialise?

Thanks for any responses.
