Hi,
My name is Brandy, I am a 25 year old stay at home mom of 2. Children are 6 and 4 years old. About 4 weeks ago I started having pressure in my head, like my head is in a vice. I went to the doctor 2 weeks ago, he said inner ear infection, then he put me on antibiotics. I took all of the pills he gave me and I still felt the same. He also believes I am having anxiety attacks so he put me on clonazepam. When I went back to him after the antibiotics not helping, he ordered a CT scan and he said that I had inflammation behind my left eardrum, and sent me to an ENT doctor. The ENT doctor said my ear looked fine, but it still could be inflammation, so he put me on a cortisone pack. I have taken the whole pack and I feel the same. Before my left ear wasn't even bothering me and now it does from time to time. The pressure in my head is driving me insane. I have an appointment with a chiropractor on Monday, because I believe it could be muscles, joints, etc. Then I am seeing my doctor again. I am depressed alot, but not all the time. I feel a little better when I do things I enjo, but not too much better. I just want to talk to someone who may hae experienced this before or someone who might could help me. I know I am still young and I have 2 children to raise, I just want help with this. It is really scaring me. Any help will be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks
Brandy

About a year ago I starting getting headaches, almost always in the evening. They still come and go, but my doctor said that headaches can be caused from stress and anxiety.

I notice that if I drink lots of water and eat well that I have less frequent headaches.

As far as dizzyness goes, that could be caused from lots of stuff. Our balance is greatly affected by our ears and if we have inflamation, infection, etc, in the ear we can suffer from dizzyness. Also if you are having panic attacks you may be hyperventilating which will cause you to feel an "out of body" feeling.

Just remember that anxiety and stress affect our bodies in crazy ways. It's like a rollercoaster, and just remember that with every hill there will be a valley :)

Hi Brandy and welcome,

I too had a horrible pressure in my head some time ago before my Anxiety came about 6 months later, like you said its like having your head in a vice :(

All test came back as normall and eventually it went. I think that the amount of coffee i was drinking was contrbuting to this because as soon as i cut it out it gradually started to go.
