Hey guys !!!

I'm new here, and here goes ... I'm a panic attack suffer for 30 years and have never talked to anyone about it. I thought I was tough enough to deal with it alone, but damit, at some point it's just too much. I'm excited to be able to talk about it freely here. Maybe it can bring something! ;)

I have a few specific anxieties, and the list is slowly growing. Most of them are avoidable (bridges, long tunnels, over-heated crowded environments, flying), and some of them are not easily avoided (large or small hills/mountains, remote places, taking blood !!!).

All these situations bring out a similar panic reaction and with it the fear of possibly dying of a heart-attack, and fear of not getting help fast enough. The symptoms are always racing heartbeat, sweaty palms, fealing faint, tension in my upper body, shallow or difficult breathing. As for the specific situations where this SHIT happens to me I'll be posting them in the related forum topics.

BY THE WAY, I noticed that just from typing this stuff to you guys and letting out some frustration to something other than a blank wall my anxiety from my recent panic attack dropped by about 10-20% ... maybe also cause I feel I'm doing something about my issue !!! :D

Oh yes, and by the way, I'm not affraid to say it LOUD ..... HELP !!!!!!!!

 That felt good !

Thanks for that post.
It makes me feel less a failure for not curing this thing that I've suffered for at least 8 years.
It only seems to get worse!
I can't handle news, checking the mail box, the phone, the door.
I avoid people, situations.
Sometimes, the anxiety gets so bad, I'm afraid I'll have a heart attack.
It's the constant devil on my back.
If there's a hell, this must be it.

I sympathise with your pain!
and i'm glad i have a place to air this out!
