Can't Trust Anyone

I feel like Im unable to trust anyone, online and in real life.
Everyone always ends up doing me wrong, including family members at times.
I've been verbally abused most of my life on top of all of this.
What can I do?

Greengal, you don't want to be too trusting of people. But you don't want to never trust anyone either. If you do, you'll miss out on having trusting relationships with trustworthy people.

And their are people in this world that you can trust.

All you can do is take that leap and trust carefully and slowly. I've been verbally abused all my life as well. Just trust carefully....

Remember.. trust is earned not given. Far too many times, I casually gave out my trust to people that didn't earn it and I payed the price awards when their true colors surfaces. It takes time to build trust in all honestly. Worth it though to find even a couple of people that you can trust, just be cautious in the beginning and make sure you don't enter one-sided friendships.
