View Full Version : I'm having issues with feeling like I'm going to die all the time

I'm having a really hard day.I just have this terrible feeling that something is really wrong and I feel like I'm going to die.I can't even explain what is going on,it's just like this empty weird feeling in my body and like I could die from it.I also feel like I'm going to pass out.Im so scared and don't know what to do.Ive been dealing with gads for about 10 years,I'm now in my early 40s and just so tired of feeling like this all the time

I unfortunately can't help you but I can relate and understand. I am so sick of anxiety and panic popping up at random times and of course I'm constantly worried about if and when it will happen. But more than that, I'm so sick of obsessing over my physical conditions. I wish I could get out of my own head for a while!

Ah, good ol health anxiety.

First and foremost, whenever you feel anxious or have intrusive thoughts, breathe them away. If you control your breathing with slow, normal deep breaths, that tells your body there is no danger and you will calm down

It isn’t so much as you are truly afraid to die as it is you have worked yourself up and now death seems like it is coming for you.

Try to separate YOU from YOUR ANXIETY. Those are not your thoughts, those are thoughts brought on by anxiety

Recognize those thoughts that aren’t your true beliefs. Recogognize them as Anxiety and understand they are harmless regardless of the danger you feel.

Experiencing too much anxiety or general nervousness, can be extremely distressing and interfering. In this case a person should be referred for treatment by a mental health specialist.
