I have been dealing with anxiety most of my life. It has gotten worse recently to the point where I'm having what I would describe as anxiety attacks. I decided to join the forum to discuss things with people who are dealing with similar issues.

Welcome, i'm new here too but i think you have come to the right place, seems like there is some knowledgable people on here.. have you had panic attacks before or is this new for you? it can be very scary sometimes but it is very common. I have dealt with a lot of varied panic attacks since it all started, from mild every day attacks, to, ending up in the hospital because it was more severe than i had ever had. i believe you should always take your time, focus on your breathing and if you need to seek help. the 4, 4, 8 method works well for me.. 4 seconds inhale in, hold for 4 seconds, exhale 8 seconds, it slows down my heart rate and helps distract me from feeling nauseous.
