Ok, I have read on here some posts where sypmtoms of asthma were dismissed as anxiety symptoms. How do you know?
here is my story.
I get "anxious" whenever I exert myself....ie climb up stairs. Primarily because all of a sudden I breathe real hard and fast. I too thought it was asthma as I felt as if I couldn't catch a breath. I have a peak flow meter that I got after 3 trips to the ER from doctors who tried to convince me that I do not have asthma after taking numerous chest xrays. My peak flow meter (expelling) is around 700-750 sometimes hitting 800. Highest you can go is 850. So this supposedly tells me that I have very strong lungs. Then why do I feel so out of breath? Ok, I am out of shape, but come on... 1 flight of stairs and I get very anxious.
I did the albuterol thing at the hospital. Where I inhale albuterol for awhile. This really didn't help either. I couldn't tell if it opened up anything.
