Hello fellow anxiety sufferers! I joined this site in hopes of finding some support for my crippling anxiety (and hopefully giving support to others as well) I basically have general anxiety 24/7. It has gotten to the point where it's nearly unbearable to live with. I am in a constant state of high alert, ready to jump out of my skin at the slightest thing and I have no idea why I feel this way.

I could really use some friends to talk to, others who understand the h*ll of living this way.

Hey Carolina and welcome,
I know what youre talking about, i got it too almost 24/7 if im lucky but i never relax so.... i know, no one understandst it. Its always the same reason, they cant see it so its not ''real'' or they think its juts shyness.

Thanks for your reply, Metal. I'm sorry that you suffer the same way, it's awful. I get the "just shy" or "just take a deep breath" thing all the time too. It does not help. I'm thankful this forum exists though, it's nice to find others who understand! You have a great night/day as well! :)

Yeah I know exactly what you mean. I hate when people tell me that "I'm so shy" shyness and anxiety are not the same thing. I am far from shy when I'm with people I know. But I like to observe new situations before I start talking to new people, so when I finally do speak up when someone says, "wow you can actually talk?" it makes me not want to talk to them

Hi K8LN, thanks for your reply! :) Yes, I know exactly what you mean! I actually am a very shy person, but that whole "speak up!", "wow, you can talk?" stuff really upsets me! I agree that anxiety does not always mean shy!

Yeah exactly! And sometimes I feel like maybe I actually am shy just because everyone tells me that I am. But I don't feel like that is really who I am. So I am not sure really haha
