Hey
My name is Sazzles - and I am experiencing a lot of anxiety - almost daily, and constant about everything. I never used to be like this but then things started to happen to me (which have affected my self esteem terribly) and I'm just a ball of nerves now. To the extent I feel I will never ever be happy. I hope I can find someone here to talk to who might be able to assure me there is a way out of feeling like this. Many thanks.

Hi Sazzles,
Welcome, try not to worry too much about how your feeling, that is kind of the key point, worrying just makes it worse. Try and recognise that it is just a temporary state and that it's perfectly normal.
Try and identify any recent changes in your life or stressors that might be contributing to your anxiety.

Thank you Kitten.
I have recently changed jobs after a really horrific experience with a man who led me on (in work). I have real moments of panic and uncertainty about my future.

Well that will do it.
When your body wants to be anxious don't try and fight it, just try and let it happen, let it have its moment but always focus on the fact that you are never in any real danger, nothing overly bad is going to happen, your body is just having a funny five minutes.
Is it likely you have a trigger for your attacks? It could be anything, even a flash memory.
Try not to worry sweet, it's just temporary.

It doesn't feel temporary, it's daily. But thank you for the message of support. I wake up like this, go to bed like this, feel I've ruined my whole life.
Triggers would be people speaking to me in what I would term 'harshly'. And of course the man (even though I'm away from him) is a trigger.

KittenTrans is quite right but it does take some time to learn not to fight it. Hell, even now after being diagnosed about 7 years ago, I am still learning.
I have read to accept your anxiety rather than fight it, which will help you overcome your anxiety.

Hi welcome to the forum. Read Kirk post, I am signing under it. When you fight with it, it will attack stronger. Try some visualization, meditation, exercise, Drink lemon balm tea, camomile tea, take a walk in woods without looking at phone screen. It will calm you down. Contact with nature calms us down, takes our mind away from our fears.......
