So I kind of suffer from pretty crippling social anxiety, and I've been thinking it would be neat to meet other people who struggle with the same. Why I didn't think of typing "anxiety forum" into Google until now is beyond me.

Completely depends on the availability of others as the bar closes. Better goin home with this than by yourself

Try to associate with people you feel comfortable with and i believe you will eventually see that your anxiety will subside.
Therapy, clergy, family, etc., may help.
