How active are the staff?

Hello,

I am trying to figure out how active the site staff are. I have been trying to post a message in the Medication forum for about 2 weeks and each time I have sent one it states that it will need to be approved by a moderator first. The approval has never seemed to come. I have also sent a message to a staff member, but that has gone unanswered. Any direction would be appreciated. :)

My wife is a long time pharmacist for a national retail chain and I can ask her any medication question.

Kirk, I am taking one 3.75 mg Tranxene at night to treat periodic limb movement disorder. I also take Lexapro. I am concerned about the long term side effects of Tranxene, in particular, if I use this medication for years, can it lead to depression? I don't need any more of that! Can you please ask your wife? I would really appreciate it. (Tranxene is a longer acting benzodiazepine than Xanax and it really helps me sleep) Thank you. I am so scared of all benzos and the long term side effects that can come with them. I am NOT a person prone to any type of dependence/addiction issues. Right now I take "drug holidays" to ensure I don't get dependent.

well but if the spam appears it is gone in half and hour or so, I usually report it, someone must keep an eye on forum.

Hi Anne1221,
I just asked my wife about it and she said that she does not dispense a lot of it and the people now get the generic version of it called clorazepate. She said that depression is a very rare side effect and that you can't suddenly stop taking it as you may get severe withdraw symptoms. So if you decide to stop, you need to ease off of it slowly and it can be addicting. She said people take Xanax, Valium or Antivan more often and they get the generic version of them also. She also said it is not uncommon to be on Lexapro at the same time. Any more questions, let me know.

I know some sites can delete some spam automatically but if it comes in rrsponse to a request there must be some individual checking in periodically

The real test is when exyreme flaming occurs. Maybe we should stage manage some to test this out
