For anyone who has had tension headaches...

How long can they last? I have had one that is almost daily. Some days I dont have a headaches at all, other days its there constantly. I saw my doctor a while ago and he said that anything you get in the back of your head is tension related. Has anyone experienced constant (chronic) tension headaches that last weeks or more?

I get them when stress gets really high. I do find a hot shower with the water pounding on the back of my neck helps. As far as how long can they last? I think the longest Ive had one was about 24 hours. Luckily they're not (in my case) as bad as a migraine.
