My left eye just twitched in the corner like crazy. I've had eyelid twitches before but this affected my vision. It's gone now.

My eyesight has been a bit weird lately, mainly the left eye. I thought it was due to inner ear build up maybe. Sometimes I'll see tricks in my vision on the left side, mainly when looking at my monitor. It's been going on for just over a month.

I had my eyes checked about six months ago and everything was fine. But now I'm a bit worried. Has this happened to anyone else? It completely freaked me out.

Hey snowberry,

There are a few things you can try.

Massage the affected eye gently for a couple of minutes.

Up to 80% of Americans are deficient in magnesium, which can cause twitches and tics; check out https://www.google.com/url?rct=j&sa=t&url=http://theconversation.com/we-cant-eradicate-drugs-but-we-can-stop-people-dying-from-them-54636&ct=ga&cd=CAEYAyoUMTc2NzQ5MjA2MzExODY1MDI0NDEyGjdmYjkyYjd kYzYxZGQ0MWI6Y29tOmVuOlVT&usg=AFQjCNHqfc6CA14G4VQeFtcf9a0YK--yjA

If a magnesium deficiency was the cause, supplementing it should resolve the problem in about 2 weeks. Reduce sugar and especially HCFS (sodas). Xylitol, from health food, or vitamin stores, or stevia, (from supermarkets) are completely natural replacements for sugar, and are suitable for diabetics. Avoid artificial sweeteners like aspartame; check out http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=mercola+artificial+sweeteners&gbv=2&oq=mercola%3B+artificial+sweeteners&gs_l=heirloom-hp.1.1.0l2.7914.28631.0.31965.30.26.0.0.0.0.1478.2 994.4-1j7-2.3.0.msedr...0...1ac.1.34.heirloom-hp..27.3.2993.3Ce1jolQ7Mg

You could also try EFT on it. Give the Meridian Tapping Technique / EFT a good tryout, to see if it helps you. It is free via mercola.com or www.tapping.com (13 free videos), or www.eftuniverse.com or www.emofree.com or one of the many YouTube videos. Google: "YouTube; EFT videos".
Professionally instructed is generally preferable (Google: therapists; EFT; [your location] ). - There is a version for use in public places at http://eft.mercola.com (if you like, you can claim to have a headache, as you employ the acupressure massage / tapping on your temples, but you would then be restricted to subvocalising: saying it to yourself in your mind: "Even though I have a twitching left eye, I deeply and completely accept myself)."

Hypnosis is merely a heightened state of suggestibility, in which you are better able to communicate with your subconscious mind; view http://myfavoriteinterests.com/hypnosis/ about what it is, and isn't. 85% of people are suggestible to some degree; 15% - 20% highly so, and 15% - 20% aren't much at all, so you could either preferably seek professional hypnotherapy, or, if not an option, hypnosisdownloads.com has one on tics and twitches.
