Hi all. So, I've been experiencing anxiety related issues for around a decade, but it became rather severe around 2 years ago. Since then, I've been pretty homebound, with my main issue being agoraphobia. Though, I have yet to actually see a psychologist, so this is a self diagnosis. But, I'm finally about to start the process of seeking out some professional help, and possibly start some meds. Considering I don't really talk to anyone in my life about my anxiety, I thought it would be nice to have some people to talk to who understand. Looking forward to talking to you all. ^-^

Hi Twiox, getting help is a good first start. I know nothing about agoraphobia but there is a section on the main page of this forum dedicated strictly to agoraphobia. Good luck and i am sure someone on the forum with more experience than me with agoraphobia will interact with you.

Welcome!
I've never been (officially) diagnosed with agoraphobia either, but I do live an reclusive lifestyle too. Ive also learned to not even bother talking to people about anxiety; they don't understand. Seeking professional help is a good start, though unless you're suffering depression, I'd not be in too much of a hurry to start meds JMHO.
