Hi, my name is Lis I'm 19 and I've been suffering with anxiety since I was young.
I've been taking Citalopram for a year and I've just made the decision to start coming off, so I thought joining a forum would help to discuss my experiences with others going through the same.

Say, what prompted you to decided to come off of Citalopram? Was this something you and your doctor disused?

Hey. Well when I started taking it it was meant to be like a temporary measure, I hadn't planned to stay on for a year. I feel too dependent on it, like getting upset if my prescription is a day late etc. and I just want to be medication-free to try to deal with my anxiety myself you know? Also I'm at uni so worrying about drinking when on medication doesn't help my symptoms.
