Is this a private party or can anyone join in? :P
It's possible that your speech impediment may have caused you to develop a less than perfect image of your self that you use to base your behaviours on. How do you feel about yourself? Dig a little deeper and see what you find. Do you like yourself? Do you believe yourself less worthy than others? Do you believe others won't like you?
Having negative beliefs and opinions of yourself can really affect the way you interact with others.

You need to work on building your self-esteem.

I thought someone wanted a big number of replies on this post by breaking up their sentences into separate posts. My second thought was that maybe you were having a conversation with yourself and I didn't want to interrupt. Sometimes having a positive conversation with yourself is the best thing you could do to overcome anxiety. After all anxiety stemmed from insecurity and fear of judgment. If your relationship with yourself improves, you'll see your anxiety improves too. On that note, good luck!

That's makes good sense to me Breez. I talk to myself like that all the time. :) Thankfully I have made some good online friends in the process of doing so. Working on Self Esteem is also something I am working on and highly recommend for others who are struggling with the way they see themselves. Redefining words such as happiness and positivity, and actively taking steps to practice the way I communicate is helping a lot. Taking responsibility for how I think plays a large role in that. More so, controlling the thoughts that bounce around in my head.
Although I still struggle with my signature, which is more like an X - I stutter way less than I used to. Takes practice, but the confidence and benefits I have gained in other areas makes working on self esteem very much worth while.
Now all I need, is for someone to tell me this is a troll's post. :)

Does seem that way, sadly. After he posted his website link, we haven't seen him again.
Oh well. Others will still read this thread and gather a little insight!

:) That's the spirit I was leaning towards as well. Nothing is wasted when you have good intent.
