Hello, uhm it's hard, first of all I hope I'm not writing in the wrong section, I'm kind of clumsy.

I'm not going to give my name, but I'm 18 years old, I have anxiety and depression, I'm much better now thanks to my psychiatrist and my psychologist, they are awesome. My life story is not that bad, my parents were overprotective and I grew up not knowing anything about real world, when I started living by myself I collapsed. But thankfully my parents saw their mistakes and helped me. Now I'm fighting. I take Olanzapine and Sertraline, I used to take escitalopram for my depression and anxiety but I had a depressive crisis and the psychiatrist changed my medication, but we can say I'm ok, I go to college and study visual arts, I'm good at it and I'm happy, my illness is not longer an obstacle at all and my psychiatrist says that I'm much better.

The problem is that I have a boyfriend with anxiety but his life story is not as easy as mine, his family is not as understanding as mine and he has a really sad life story, he feels like I don't really love him and has a lot of fears that for me are senseless, then I remember that I had my fears too, but I had the depression stronger that anxiety, so, we are not quite alike.
Since this is an anxiety forum I want to ask you how to treat a person with anxiety , he was with me when I only wanted to die, he knew the right words and encouraged me to fight against the demons inside me, but since I'm a pampered girl I don't know how to help, of course I tell my therapist about this, but I also want to know the opinion of someone with this illness, I want to know everything that can be helpful.

Thank you for reading this! :)

Hi, Katze - welcome

I am unsure of what you are asking. Are you asking how YOU treat a person with anxiety or how they should be treated by the medical world?

Very carefully......

Okay, bad joke

Just be there to support him

As you find something beneficial or enlightening, then direct him to it on the web

You're doing a good thing

Thank you, lovely :)
It's hard treating with someone with anxiety when you have/had anxiety, sometimes I don't know if I should keep distance, anyway I hope to learn a little more here :D
