Background: I was diagnosed with moderate-severe depression and moderate anxiety at age 15. I tried Zoloft and a few other ADs but they all made me a zombie, so I stopped at 16. I'm now 31. A few months ago, my A/D started kicking back into high gear for no real reason. After counseling, relaxation breathing techniques, and acupuncture, it was decided to try meds again. This is a post about my journey so far. Feel free to comment, friend me, whatever you'd like to do. It'd be reassuring that the side effects I'm getting are similar to your own!

I take it at 8pm due to the drowsiness but that may change in the future. I was RX'd at 10mg, but due to my crazy med sensitivity, I've decided to go with 5 for a bit and see what happens.

Night 1 10mg
Took at 8pm
Experienced drowsiness, headache, nausea after 1 hour. Panic over hearing noises when in bed, woke Mom up to check house. Slept soundly after that.

Night 2 5mg
Headache continued, slight nausea after taking. Insomnia experienced; woke up many times at night

Night 3 5mg
Headache subsiding. No nausea. Woke up many times. Upper arms (muscles sore). Upset stomach (not unusual). Upon leaving for work, felt very keyed up, almost manic. Had moment when driving where I wanted to just drive to Vegas, instead of go to work. Reasoned with myself 1) You dont know the route, 2) There's not a full tank of Gas, 3) You need to go to work idiot. Very amusing, not entirely distressing. Guess rewiring is working as intended. I'm not a super spur-of-the-moment girl.

(Vegas is about an 8 hour drive from my Part of NorCal. Lol. And driving increased my anxiety....hence why I thought it was so funny.)

Hi everyone! Thanks for being so welcoming. It's nice to be among people who understand what I'm going through. All the Doctors I've seen have basically told me it's "all in my head" and that I'm crazy, basically.

Week 2
Definitely feel some burning/tingling in my left hand. Not red or swollen but exuding a lot of warmth, moreso than right hand. Pupils still more dilated than normal, some gastro issues lingering. Slight concern about hand, due to previous issue over a year ago when entire hand swelled and turned red, insanely painful, went to ER. Diagnosed as Gout? Or start or Rheumotoid Arthritis. Occured overnight after a sore finger during previous day. No injuries, bites, etc.
Monitoring closely, trying not to get into a panic over it.
