Hello everyone I am new to this and even now as I am typing I am so scared and so worried and crying....

for a month and a half now I have been sick

first it started off with light head aches and a swollen eye
then I had gastro sensations and from this resulted in me sweating heavily and having an increased heart rate
from there I went to the hospital twice they told me it was just tacky cardia or something like that and told me to keep away from caffine I was not satissfied at all with this and began to worry very much
From this I began getting dizzy every day, light headed, pressure in the head, racing heart rate and sweaty palms and feet. I then went to my local doctor and he sent me to the hospital they told me that they believe its anxiety I still didnt believe that even after having a neurological examination done(no scans) I also had blood tests at one point I had high white blood cell count but has now gone down so this worried me even further and I went back to see my local doctor 3 times more and they said they also believe and agree with some nurses and a specialist at the hospital that it is anxiety. So here is my question

Do I have anxiety as I cant stop worrying and also it doesnt help as when I was 10 I had blood clots in my brain which are accompanied by pressure in the brain and the worst type of head ache you could think of now here are my symptoms:

Sweating of my palms and feet
Fast heart pulpetations
Slight headaches but this can sometimes get worse
Pressure in the head
Trouble getting to sleep and staying asleep sometimes
Worrying about death and about having a serious disease
Dizziness feeling like im walking to one side sometimes
AND MOST OF ALL OF LATE FOR THE PAST 3 WEEKS I HAVE BEEN HAVING A SHIVERING SENSATION INSIDE MY HEAD LIKE IN MY BRAIN ONLY ON MY LEFT SIDE AND MY EYES HAVE ALSO BEEN WEIRD AND IVE SOMETIMES BEEN SEEING BLACK SPOTS (NOW ALL OF THESE THINGS I AM FEELING OCCURE ONLY SOME DAYS OF THE WEEK AND SOMETIMES A COUPLE OF DAYS IN A ROW)

PLEASE HELP ME AND TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK THE THING I AM WANTING TO KNOW THE MOST IS I AM GETTING BRAIN SHIVERING SENSATIONS ALONG WITH EVERYTHING ELSE ABOVE NOW IS THIS JUST A SYMPTOM OF ANXIETY IF YOU THINK I HAVE ANXIETY THAT IS AS I AM THINKING SOMETHING WORSE BUT THE THING AS I SAID I AM MORE WORRIED ABOUT IS THE SHIVERING PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Hello there!

If I was to give you an opionion all your symptoms sound like anxiety. Keep you head up. I have similar ones also. have you tried any medication or counceling? That can be a help sometime and trying to think as positive as possible (even though its hard and your anxious) can sometimes keep you from falling into a panic attack or help you get out of it. Hope I helped.

Welcome!

From what you have described it does sound like anxiety. Anxiety can cause your body to do strange things!! And then when you think about them, it makes it even worse.

I have felt MANY of the symptoms you are feeling. I know it certainly isn't very pleasant. Seeing a therapist is a good idea. I'm not sure where you live, but in Canada with some searching you can find free therapists.

There are quite a few good books about anxiety (I'm a big reader!). The two I have found the most helpful are: "How to stop worrying and start living" and "The Anxiety and Phobia Handbook"

I also have read another book that dealt with my fear of dying and being ill. It is called:
It's Not All in Your Head: How Worrying about Your Health Could Be Making You Sick--and What You Can Do about It

Do take heart, you are NOT ALONE.
