AnxiousEMT

Hey all. I'm a 28y/o male and have been suffering with anxiety for almost 5 years now (on and off of course). I had a major life changing event which is where my anxiety came from. I have been seeing the same therapist for that amount of time who has taught me some great relaxation techniques to include Chi-gong. I am against taking meds, as I do not want to feel reliant on them. I just began taking some herbal supplements to help me relax and sleep better. They seem to be doing ok.
As I read through this forum, I am seeing that a lot of people are suffering from the same symptoms that I am. (i.e.: fluttering heart, headaches, feeling of loneliness etc). Just the quick 15 minutes I spent looking around on here has helped feel like I am not going nuts, and everyone basically suffers from the same thing.
I am hoping to shake my anxiety someday, but have been told multiple times, to get used to it, it will be around for a while. I am also looking forward to talking to people on here re: their symptoms and sharing thoughts and ideas.
Take Care!
