So for the last two months I've been going through a depression. My pdoc has my on 60mg geodon at night and 5g lamictal in the am. My bipolar is fine but now I'm dealing with a deep depression. I've had bad anxiety trying to get through this. I need help getting through this and dealing with anxiety. I've only experienced a real panic attack two or three times. I'm trying to work, and get through this. My husband and I are more distant than ever and I don't know how to fix the disconnect. How to be close again.
Anyhow, im ginger. I'm 25 and that's what I'm dealing with. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am new to the forum and I'm not completely sure on how to use it all.

Hi Ginger, welcome to the forum. Can you talk to your husband or can you convey to him what you are going through? If so, does he understand? It will take some time to get the depression under control especially if you are just starting on the meds. Peace to you and don't hesitate to ask questions and read around the forum :)

I know where you are coming from on that. I tend to bring the house here down when i am in one of those states of mind. I am currently trying to not show my issues in front of the kids.

I have not see that forum...but I will check it out. I have six kids and I work hard not to show my anxieties to them... At night when they are asleep, I feel like I need my husband to take care of me. I just told him how scared I was recently, I hold it together really well during the day...but I think about it all day and now it is tough for me at night. My husband is supportive, but wants me to get help...arghhh

Hi Ginger, nice to see you here, welcome to forum. I noticed you are bipolar, my husband of twenty years was bipolar. He still is. I have two very close friends bipolar. Somehow I am familiar with it. Yeah family life is complicated, in this situation. The disconnection happens from time to time, he does understand your disease and he is trying to do his best. I did so he probably is too. You are on the low spectrum of disease right now and this is why the depression. It will pass with the meds and psychiatric care. Ginger you are depressed so maybe you see the distance between you two, worse that it is. Panic attack are really scary, and they are signs of bipolar too, I mean my hubby had it pretty bad. The problem was he refused the medication. you are on meds and bipolar is pretty controlled right now. Many people with it, have a good family relations and good life in general. You hubby already knows that he is extremely important to you. He is doing his best. This situation is always difficult on partners, I know it first hand. Everything will be ok, you will see , do not lose hope. Life is good and you will be laughing again soon. In meantime read some of the awesome posts we have here and Just be well :))
