Hey everyone. So glad I found this group. I've been dealing with anxiety for almost 20 years now and think I'm just now ready to accept it. Since I was 18 I've been on Celexa, then Zoloft and last year decided to wean myself off of the Zoloft. The weaning went well, I was prepared for the side effects and after some struggle (itching, dizziness, frustration), I was doing great for about 3 months. In January I started getting extremely itchy out of nowhere and it was always happening around my menstrual cycle. I am currently seeing a doctor to rule out hormone allergies (which are very rare) and testing hormone levels. I think I'm ready to try another antidepressant to see if my symptoms are just anxiety related but Celexa made me more panicky and Zoloft caused horrible neck pain and headaches for me so I don't ever want to go that route again if I can help it. Anyway, I am a mom with two little ones and can see that my health is affecting the whole family at this point so I want to do whatever it takes to find answers and talk to others that understand. We are currently in the middle of moving (stress overload) and I am just getting out of one of my itching flare ups so this month has been brutal. Anyway, hope I can find some help here and help others going through this. :)

Hi flipflop :) welcome to the forum. I love your nick, very neat. I am veteran of anxiety wars too. I can not take any SRRI and celexa; I thought I am dying after taking it. I could not walk to the bathroom on my legs, my fours helped . I am also allergic to a lot of things, to the extend that I started to get rid of all harsh chemicals; detergents, commercial soaps, creams, lotions and deos. I make my own, gentle and nice;))
Itching is my good friend from the moment I was born, and still is every day, however after I eliminated so many of chemicals it is just sometimes only and my egzema cream ceases the itching.
I have a friend here , who has terrible itching and no one helps him. My daughter has hives every time she gets upset , really upset or exposed to few days of stress...
I hope you find the support here, we have mostly great people, the ones no so great gets ignore ;)
