When I'm stressed, very stressed, or nervous I get pins and needles almost immediately. It's not the most severe symptom, but It does because of my hypochondria, make me worry.

(I regard this symptom as the onset of a panic attack as past experience has showed me this)

Just wondering, what does this mean medically? Any underlying issues? Is this anxiety 'causing' a medical problem? ( I always worry about that last one)

I think it's due to the fact when panic starts we almost always start breathing a little quicker, which makes our oxygen levels change which causes the pins and needles.

It's not anxiety causing a problem as such, but it can be referred to as a psychosomatic symptom. Which is basically a symptom with no underlying "medical" cause. It is a very common symptom so try not to let it worry you, but I know that is easier said than done :)
