Alcohol and anxiety

Hi, im new here and wanted some advice because I think im going crazy!

In the last few weeks i've started having really bad anxiety attacks the day after drinking alcohol. It always starts with chest pains and I start thinking im having a heart attack :-(

Does anyone else suffer like this as it really quite scary?

Alcohol is a real trigger for many people.

I have avoided alcohol entirely for several years for this very reason.

I feel great when I drink - but the day after I stop is a nightmare!

For me, it's a shaky and depersonalization feeling - with a touch of feeling like I can't breathe :\

With the mixing up meds. I think Alcohol is a culprit to causing more anxiety. I may just have to cut back..... pretty significantly.......
