Two doctors have check my heart multiple times and always it checks out healthy. Can anxiety cause skipped beats?

I don't know if it can cause skipped beats, but the heightened nervous system of an anxiety sufferer can make you notice them more.

Case in point, about a month ago I was hooked up to a 48 hour event monitor and over the course if 48 hours my heart beat 250,000 times. That is a quarter of a million!

Of those quarter million beats, 20 of them were premature or what most of us would skipped beats. I swear I could feel every one of them! Lol

Don't worry, it is normal!

Do something to relax and stop thinking about it. I know it's hard to do but it's the only way to get past this. Your doctor says your heart is healthy so take comfort in that and move on.

Cheers!
Pam

Having palpitations is usually OK and normal. I used to have them really bad before I was on anxiety meds, since I've been on my meds, it doesn't happen so often. If it does usually it's because I have ate some junk food that day, or it's when I get into bed and lay directly on my left side. Don't worry if your tests have came back fine :)
