Do you ever wonder if we're celebrities to them?

I imagine many read this site quite regularly, so must see us post quite a lot.

I used to follow a forum once, never signed up to post, just read articles. I remember thinking the people that posted regularly were like the 'forum celebs' on there.

I couldn't make it as a rock start with music so I'll take it any way I can get it.

And I could use some groupies if anyone doesn't have much of a life

I did girls..
Shit I was falling over in this damn chair..
That medication is hard to understand.
The first couple of weeks I took it, it did nothing and I wondered why it's $400 for 90 capsules.
Then in the third week, it starts working..
Then this week, I take one and it's like I just drank an entire 12 pack of beer..staggering, falling over, running into walls, and drugged heavily but it was just my dose?
I have neeevvvveeerrrr had a pian medication that had to "build up" in the system first, before it slammed you..except this one.
I still feel nooooo pain, and I'm up now but was slurringggg my speech earlier..now its 2 hours later and I'm OK...

WTF?

Hopes for no slurrrriinnnggg!!!! LMAO!

As a lurker (although I'm not completely sure what that really means) but as an outsider here's what see on this forum, (and please, I'm not saying this to start any trouble. Just my humble observation.)
It does seem kind of clique-ish on here. That is kind of intimidating. Also, and I don't blame anyone for this, but I haven't gotten the help I expected on here. It seems more people are concerned about the drama between members (Kyle and applecherry) than responding to other posts asking for legitimate help, support or venting. This is just my opinion. I'm glad some people can get the help they're looking for on here. But I've kinda stopped bothering to post and instead just try to read other people's thread that might be about something I'm also going through.
SO....this might be why there are more "lurkers" and less participants.

Well, I can understand how a newcomer might feel it is clique like here...but once someone makes an introduction, I feel like they are immediately accepted into our crazy family. I can understand why you might feel that way though......I hope that the newcomers give this forum a chance though. I , for one, feel very thankful that I found this one.

That's a fair point.

To be honest, I never remember it even being cliquey until a month or two ago really. I think it just happened as a reaction to all the bullshit that had gone on from Applecherry and Kyle for instance. People invested a lot of time and emotion into some people, and it backfired. I think it's just a temporary reaction to that feeling of betrayal that people are now sticking to those that they can trust for conversation and support. It'll go back to normal when things calm down and people can trust again.

As for your posts, I've read all of them. I just went back and reread some. Very articulately written, but almost everytime - I wasn't sure what you were asking, or what you wanted from them. Many seemed like statements, rather than questions, and as I'd not always shared common ground with you, I let a lot of them pass. I did respond back to some of them with short statements, I guess that's all I felt I could offer.

That's just me. Hope you know you weren't ignored.

Jessed- on some of my posts I guess I just wanted some support, a kind word, or a simple "that's rough. Here's what I do when I feel ___." And some I had legitimate questions. I understand, not everyone can relate and alot of things get lost in the shuffle.
It seemed like this forum got way off topic a few times when so much time and energy was dedicated to the 'he said/she said.' And more posts went by unnoticed. I seemed to join right at the time things got clique-y. Tis a shame.
Thank you Ab123. This is my "hey! pay attention to me" post. Lol.

I'll be truthful with you, people did quit on this place for a bit :p... Lots of the top posters lost their enthusiasm and couldn't be bothered to write anything substantial cos of what was happening. (It's still kinda going on in a way). The place had turned into such a joke over the last month, people just stuck around to argue at people who had disrupted things, instead of really get stuck into business.

But about you -- I'll know in future how to respond to your posts better. You're so well written, I feel I need to come up with something outstanding to write to you. I feel like I need to give you a revelation, as you already have so much insight, but I can't lol. But support, I can certainly do that, we all can. Consider yourself supported! :)

I'm new enough here to not notice any cliques, and I basically ignore the drama... but I like your points, and I'm going to go in search of unanswered posts whenever I can. Generally I hope someone with more expertise will respond if I can't relate, but a kind word is always easy enough, and especially meaningful to those with anxiety. I just kind of threw myself in here when I was in some state of personal drama, and answered whatever questions I could on other threads, and now I don't care if any of my posts go unanswered... I know there IS support here, and it can be a fast-moving forum at times, so I just roll with it :) I have to take breaks sometimes to deal with my anxiety in some other way, so I figure it's the same with others. I hope you'll keep posting!

That I believe is a great idea

Some of those threads would be better off in the recycle bin

Yeah, a lot of posts get unnoticed and missed, which is bad because people really need help and when they're zero replies, it hardly makes one want to post again... but you are supported Scdg17 :)

Thank you guys! I love the concept of this forum and just want to see it be a safe, accepting, productive community. It looks like it's headed back on track I'm glad I could bring this to light and have it be so well received.

I totally agree with taking some of the unrelated stuff to chat. Jesse, thank you for complimenting me on my writing. It's really just me overcompensating for being so awkward and jittery in real life. But I'm glad it comes off intelligent on here. Lol.

My biopsy went ok. No cancer cells but the tumor surrounding my lymph node is acting strangely. My doctor thinks it's related to an undiagnosed version of septic arthritis I had in the same area when I was 5. So I'm going back in this week to get joint fluid aspirated and see if they can remove it.

Again, thank you. This was the push I needed to start opening up again on here. :)
