So I got zoloft the other day from my doctor and I understand it takes a little while for it to like fully get into ur system and start working I guess you could say. For the most part I really haven't had much anxiety but I'm still afraid to go out and do things? Idk why and I'm starting to think that it's never gonna get better now

It will be at least 4-6 weeks to stabilise.

It won't magically make you leave the house, but it should eventually reduce your symptoms enough to start taking positive steps towards recovery.

Keep up with the therapist and stick with the meds

Yeah that's why I figured. I mean I knew it wouldn't work right away but I really need to get back to work like Tuesday and idk if I can do it :/

You aren't feeling anxious but you have associated anxiety with your work and/or going out

So you still have the fear of how you may feel if you go to your job

All normal conspiring what you are going through

That is why it is so important to not disengage from things when you start going through it

As hard as it is, it is much worse with the more time that goes by
