Ugh I hate that feeling when it happens. What helps me is to lay in bed and listen to a relaxation hypnosis recording with headphones. Sometimes I'll fall asleep before it's finished.

I know that's a scary feeling, but try to relax if you can. My brain is racing 100 miles a minute. Today was a horrible day with lots of weird stuff. I want to sleep, but I can't.

As Chris suggested, maybe try occupying your mind until you fall asleep.

I'm dealing with the same exact thing right now. I'm absolutely exhausted but the second I start dozing off I jolt up gasping for air and it takes me a few seconds to actually get my breath back... It's been happening to me for the last few nights. Wish I could help, but at least you know you aren't alone with it :( sometimes I really think I must have sleep apnia or something

Try the you tube

Awesome rainy night hypnotic bedtime story. I've never heard the end of it yet! Works better than trazadone or zopiclone !

Hope you can get some good rest soon.

Wow, now that is a testomonial that should see their views treble! :)

I just use regular sound of rain to go to sleep to, but I will check out this one for sure!

It's been forever since seeing you when the sun is up?

I dont like being up at a normal time! It's quiet being up before Eman! :)

Ugh i really thought something was wrong. And i know what triggered it. It was a sharp pain i got in right side of chest i have never felt. It bugged me all night. 12hours before i went to bed.. That's how bad my mind is :/ i thought that whole 12hours about it. Thanks guys
