My transformation started with this realisation:

"Control is the problem, not the solution"

Every time anxiety happens, we try to stop it from happening. We try to control it. But have you noticed that this only makes the anxiety worse?

What if we didn't see anxiety as such a big deal? What if we just allowed it to happen and kept moving with our lives?

If we did, the anxiety would get better.

Therein lies the point: accept your anxiety when it wants to happen, stop fighting it and trying to control it, let it control itself. If you do this, it will dry up and blow away.

Also, patience is essential. It is VERY important to know that recovery is inherently a slow process. And you have to EXPECT that you will have to live with anxiety (and all of its odd and disturbing symptoms) for some time to come AFTER you learn to accept it. Otherwise, you will lose your acceptance of it and return to square one.
