Does anyone else have higher than usual blood pressure all the time now? I always had low blood pressure and now it seems to be slightly high all the time. Is this just the anxiety? Its not just when I'm anxious though.

Mine was high last time I went and that was a first. Sometimes just being in the doctors office when you feel there is something wrong with you is enough to make it a bit higher. Also anxiety can be present when you don't even know it.

Its not just when I'm anxious though. There are many factors that contribute to elevated BP. JeffreyGret makes some good points above. BP naturally fluctuates throughout the day, so readings can depend on the time they are taken, it can also become naturally higher through ageing, consistent stress, diet .... and so on. Provided that the readings are still within range (not everyone is bang on 120/80) despite being perfectly healthy. Keep an eye on it and follow any advise given by your cardio/GP.

I was whole my life on 90/60 in the morning, at night after the coffee I got 110/70 , , till I had to put down my dog, it was a trigger, 8 years ago. I am on beta blockers to control my bp, but when I am anxious even with the meds it jumps up...
I feel really bad as soon as it goes over 140/80 , heart palpitation, chest tightness and headache of course. The reason I writing it is that people who had really low blood pressure whole life, are very sensitive when it goes over a bit like 130.

Is this reading taken by a professional clinic or is it a store bought home monitor?
