I'm new to all of this anxiety business, I've never had issues with it in the past, until recently. Huge life changes and experiences has worn me down. Anyway, I have severe anxiety and was prescribed zoloft to help with it. I'm starting at 12.5 mg once a day for 6 and stepping up to 25mg after this week and 50mg thereafter. I started taking it Friday. So far I've had dry mouth and I'm very nauseous. Today my anxiety has been worse and I almost had a panic attack. Is this normal this early into treatment? I figured I'd get some symptoms but I didn't expect this soon on so low of a dose. Any input is appreciated! Thanks!
Hi ya and welcome :) I'm on 50mg of setraline (Zoloft) and it's been so good, there's a page for everyone that is on it you may find that helpful,it will take 8/12 weeks to fully kick in but I promise you stick with it As it's worth it

Zoloft is a tricky one. I recently have been battling severe anxiety/ocd/intrusive thoughts so I went ahead to the doctors and he prescribed me Zoloft, I've been taking 25 mg (should have started it at a lower dosage) since Thursday and it's had its ups and downs. A positive is I'm not as depressed as i was, however my anxiety still spikes really bad throughout the day, worse in the mornings. I also wake up in the early in the morning feeling like a lunatic with my mind racing, palms sweating and basically in a panic attack. I'm just trying to wait it out to see if these side effects will go away, usually takes a good few weeks for Zoloft to kick in. I definitely have felt better now than prior to medication. I think medication along with therapy is the best way to go.
