Is it possible to get signed off work with anxiety? I just don't think I can cope with leaving the house and going to work anymore. I need to hide away for the rest of forever then things would be better.

Hi Hannah yes I got signed off with Anxiety, the Dr put it down to stress on my sick note. Sometimes a break is what you need we push ourselves so hard that something eventually has to give.

As culli says, they'll usually give you a little bit of time to start with, without asking too many questions. It helps if the condition is on your medical file.

Usually your employer takes it a little more seriously if you've been signed off sick for it.
