Missed pill???

I read on another thread on here about this but I can't remember! I usually take my pill at 8 am every morning I forgot today and just got home should I take it now or just skip it and take it tomorrow at 8am ??

Will missing one pill affect anything??

If it's a long half life drug like Prozac or Celexa - Wait till morning. You'll be fine.

If it's short half life drug like Effexor or Paxil then probably take it, they can be very impatient!

I would take it. Then wait till a bit later in the day tomorrow to take the next

Then get back on schedule

When taking Effexor, I would feel horrible when missing a dose.

Made me realize how powerful it was

I wouldn't ever skip it regardless of the time

Ok thanks guys:) I'm usually really good about taking them right on time everyday but today it just slipped my mind! Ahhh I'm on lexapro so I hope I won't notice a difference

That sucks, it's well rare to get any discontinuation symptoms within 24 hours.

Most often it goes:

Miss day 1 - nothing
Miss day 2 - nausea
Miss day 3 - brain zaps

But yeah everyone's different.

I was brain zap after 36 hours.

The good part about it was I knew I missed a dose when I was feeling them

It wasn't a great weening off

The brain zaps and feeling of falling lasted a few weeks

Maybe 3 or so but got less severe as time went by

I just slowly cut down the dose. Didn't talk to my doc. She was clueless.

I did the same years ago when I weened of Celexa, I mean my doc was writing the prescription and had not idea..:)
