So, here in Newfoundland we are in the midst of a record cold snap...so much so that the power company is implementing rolling blackouts. I'm kind of freaking out about this. What am I gonna do here in the dark? Not good for the anxious person. Take a dose of Ativan and go to sleep I guess.

Ah right. Candles and a book and an early night?

It'd still be more fun than your New Years Eve lol

I read about your cold snap in the newspaper about an hour ago. Some insane temperatures going around in North America.

How long are the blackouts gonna last, do you know?

Start a fire, and fire up the oil lamps (if you don't have any then get some tomorrow, they're a peaceful light source)....I light mine all the time..:)

;) Any power problems in Indiana?

South of England got flooded really bad at Christmas. Thousands of homes were left without power for Christmas Day, that must have sucked.

Well, I haven't lost my power yet. But I've been reading on twitter that many nearby areas have lost their power...some for three hours. It far to cold to have power outages for that long.

Well, so far I haven't lost my power, but there's still a possibility. Luckily, it's day time now, so no fear of being in the dark.
