Hello Everyone,

This is my first post on this forum so - hello to everyone out there!

I just did a search on the forum against 'pregabalin' and 'Lyrica' and found just two posts.

I'm just about to start using this medication. I'm therefore keen to hear from anyone who has any experience of taking this drug.

I just started my first pill today! I am taking Lyrica for nerve pain. I have scoliosis and rods in my spine. I have suffer daily with nerve pain that can get so bad I have to go to bed. I am also needing to take narcotic pain killers. So my fingers are crossed that Lyrica will help with the nerve pain.

If you don't mind me asking..why are you taking Lyrica?? I too am curious about the drug and what it's used for. What other's have experienced...etc.

Crippledcowgirl,

The plan was to take pregabalin for Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). However, I've decided to wait until such time as it's got a bit more established as an anxiety treatment before taking it. Originally, I was led to believe that it was a well-proven anti-anxiety drug but that does not appear to be the case.

I wish you well with your treatment.
