Hello
I moved from citlopram about 2 weeks ago to sertraline for about a week and a half I got so much worse and became sucicidally depressed. I moved because I was becoming more depressed and I couldn't get an errection which as a newly single 18 year old student made me incredibly anxious!
Can anyone tell me there story about either f these medications
I know everyone is different but I don't know anything about them and I would like someone who's not a doctor telling me there experience
Cheers guys

All I can say is that I find this class helpful for anxiety(ssri's).
I take 20mg of fluoxetine a day and feel it helps. I tried zoloft and citalopram and just feel fluoxetine helped more with no side effects.
Give it fair trial of at least 2 months. Alankay

What sort of side effects did you get?

Did you wean yourself from the first medicine? Maybe that had something to do with it? I was on Sertraline for about 16 months and I wanted to come off of it. I felt I could handle my anxiety without anything. The Sertraline actually made my libido drop to nothing! That caused a lot of issues between my husband and I. I have been off of it since the beginning of July but a week ago I started the generic for Wellbutrin. THAT medicine messed me up. I was only on it for 5 days and my doctor told me to stop taking it. I am getting back on Sertraline. My husband and I have talked about it and I *NEED* to be on something. So since I know how I handle Sertraline, I'm getting back on that as far as I know. I'm going this week to hopefully get some advice from a Psychiatrist rather than my OBGYN.

A lot if the people I've known to take setraline have done really well. In a lot of countries it's the most popular drug for anxiety. I'm not too sure why they don't use it more here!
