Hi, so my doctor upped my dose to 100mg almost 5 days ago, and I have been experiencing extreme confusion and "brain fog" (really dizzy, confused by everything, disconnected to reality, etc). I was just wondering if this is just a side effect of the increase, and has anyone else experienced it? Does it eventually leave once you get used to the dosage? It's just very annoying and scary. Thanks for answering!

Anyway - yeah it sounds like the drug is exacerbating it, if the times correlate. Pretty much any of these psychotherapeutic drugs can cause brain fog symptoms. It may have also caused a rise in anxiety, which SSRIs are known to do at first, as this is often the thing usually responsible for brain fog.
Usually this stuff dies down, but sometimes certain drugs/doses don't land. If you didn't have it at the previous dose, then I would expect it to go. If it isn't gone after a few more weeks though, the dose is wrong.
Try to keep anxiety low, as one bout of brain fog can cause so much stress and annoyance, that it sticks around for ages feeding on all the negative emotion it's caused. That's how mine lasted so long.

I've never closed out a playoff baseball game against one of the best hitting teams in the league, but I imagine it to feel as emotionally taxing as anxiety ;)
