Does anyone experience facial twitching as a side effect of the meds you are taking?

No this is the reason I'm scared to take meds.

No fear here. I use too, but guess what ... my meds have reduced such "ticks" I used to have an eye that would twitch ... but only when exposed to long periods of extreme stress. Sometimes my upper arm as well. More so from excessive physical stress. However in saying that, the long term pressures of being sneered at when I use to sleep on the streets amongst westerners brought an extreme sense of despair and fear all rolled up into one, developed into twitching.
Medicine has significantly reduced such symptoms in me. The only time it manifests with medication, is when I am reducing the dose in an effort to come off them (and that's only sometimes) - I'm yet to find a med that causes it for me - mostly people cause my twitching.
Hope you find my response at least interesting. ;)

Hi Ponder, thanks for your reply. That's the thing...I am not sure if it is the stress causing it or the meds, but it is comforting to know that I am not alone...😕

I'm not sure what meds you are on but research them and see if it is a side effect. Some meds can cause ticks. Stress can def do it too. Or just give your doc a quick call. Either way it's nothing to be worried about.

Hi bcarp, I am on Prozac and asked my dr and he didn't seem concerned. I did some research online and I hate it when I do that bcus you never know if the info you are reading is reputable or not, and there were some sites that said some people were debilitated by twitching from medication, so I am not sure if by me obsessing about it I am making it worse??

Ya the more obsessed you are the woes it will be I'm sure lol. We all do it lol. If doc isn't concerned I wouldn't be. If it gets worse just let doc know.

My lower eye lid was twitching like crazy for months at the time, it was very unpleasant, it was driving me insane. It stopped as soon as I went to my doc and she started me on meds:)) I forgot about it. I hope I will not get it back. I get it when I am stressed out for a week or so...
Do not worry, and do not check Internet for the side effects. Today I was checking the pains I have in upper back and obviously I have lung cancer, two hours later i got terrible panic attack, first time in like 4 months , hell I hate it:((

I am on Wellbutrin, and I do get twitches in my legs sometimes, but it doesn't bother me. It's unsettling in a way, because you wonder "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN THERE?" LOL :)
It also makes the left side of my face feel strange (sort of numb?). I used to have facial numbness with my anxiety, so it could also just be a breakthrough symptom. I used to think I was having a stroke every day, though... at least I realize it will go away now.
