Weird stiches like a needle in my back

Ive been experiencing weird needle feeling stiches in my back, around my spine, in between of my shoulder blades... Its weird and so random everytime. Can anyone relate and/or explain what it is?

I've been getting those sort of in my chest and back between my spine an shoulder blade on left side. Months ago I complained to my dr about it and also went to emerg once as had an EKG and they both said it was musculature. I am very tense and uptight a lot so could this be why?? Sort of like a trigger point in your back?
