Citalopram

Just started taking Citalopram 10mg for general anxiety and it's now twice as bad !!

Will it improve over the coming weeks ?

Mine was real bad for a week or two when I started. It does get better. In fact to me it was a night and day difference. Hang in there.

At the onset, these medications can cause a worsening of symptoms for what they were prescribed. This is very common and many or most will subside or disappear the longer you're on the medication. I've found that taking these meds with food and as early as possible helps with side effects and not affecting sleep. However, make note of any particularly debilitating side effects and whether they subside. I've experienced certain side effects that couldn't be coped with.
