My left tonsil has been slight swollen following a bad sore throat a few weeks ago. my gland on the same side is also slightly swollen and my ear on that side also appears to remain "clogged" When i look at my tonsil with a flashlight, it looks like a small bluish dot on it. but not like the standard white tonsil stone. when i had my sore throat, i had red dots on the roof of my mouth too that are gone. im terrified ive got something bad.

I hate to say it, but you're probably going to have to go to the dr on this one. Maybe even just a walk-in clinic? They should be able to tell right away if there's something bad going on. Would it make you feel better?

It won't make me feel better. I'm so scared to even call my doctor. Who totally understands and doesn't give me any shit over the fact that I cry every time I'm in there!! lol if I'm still feeling this way next Friday, I will call. I'm off that day. Of course I have to go to a retina specialist because I have a cyst on my retina and will probably need surgery. But they told me last Friday and gave me two weeks to think about it.

It is all I can do not to cry at every single doctor's appointment I have. lol Are you scared to call them about ANOTHER thing, or are you scared to find out what it might be?

Both. I'm kind of certain it might be chronic sinusitis. Because I have postnasal drip it's only affecting one side but I could be completely wrong too. It doesn't help that I'm googling it either. And I'm only googling it because my husband isn't home and he said I wasn't allowed on web M.D. after I told him I had prostate cancer. Lol. I laugh but I'm seriously serious. I had like three of the seven symptoms so Bam, prostate cancer!

LOL! Sorry hun, but that is a little funny. :) It's hard not to Google symptoms. Really hard. We all want to know so badly what we MIGHT have, but it's all so ridiculous. It's impossible to tell just from reading a few things, and all it does is work us up really badly. Step away from the Web MD!

I know. Once I calm down from whatever disease I'm suffering from, and I'm out of my panic stage, I always laugh at myself at how I behave. But honestly in the moment, it's real fear. Regardless of how ridiculous it is when I look back on it. You know?

Ohhhhh yes, I do know. I have felt so stupid looking back on how scared and emotional I was about certain things. But it's different when you aren't in the moment, when you aren't panicking. You definitely don't think clearly when your whole body is freaking out. I've thought of every disease known to man. I wouldn't even know about these things if I could STOP GOOGLING!
