Does anyone else have this? I don't get it all the time (thank goodness), but when I do it's bad and very unpleasant. I mainly get it in bed at night, but it can strike any time I'm sitting still.

Akathisia is the full-body version of restless leg syndrome. In other words, the antsy, restless, inability to keep still feeling is in your whole body, not just your legs.

Akathisia can be the result of psychiatric medication, but it's a much more common side effect of anti-psychotic drugs than of anti-depressants. I don't take anti-psychotics, I take an AD, but I do think it's related, because whenever I up my dose the akathisia is worse.

Just wondering if any one else here also suffers from this?

I have RLS and occasionally full body. I was taking clonapin for it until it became every night and very bad. Now I am on Requip and I am so happy!

Thanks, rainboots. I'll have to google Requip. I'm not familiar with that. Glad to know it's helping you!
