Switching from Prozac to Lexapro

Hi All,
I am new to the forum and am on day 4 of my switch from Prozac (40mg) to Lexapro (currently 10mg). My doctor has me taking the Prozac every other day to taper off for now and the Lexapro every day. Today I have such a bad burning sensation of the skin on my arms and chest and my anxiety is rather high. I've been on Prozac for 7 years but lately have found that it does not address my overall anxiety/panic attacks, hence the decision to switch. Do these symptoms sound normal? Any advice would be great, so done with this feeling!

Probably normal tapering/withdrawl symptoms. Anxiety is always pretty high when messing with medication

I remember having bad burning sensations when i was switching my medications. They will subside once your body gets used to the switch. Hang in there, I know it sucks!!

When I started Lexapro, I got a lot of burning sensations as well. And then increased anxiety. But it all calmed down with a little time. Good luck with the switch!

Well, after 9 days I had a severe panic attack. My doc now want me to take 20mg of Lexapro everyday while tapering off every other day of 40mg of Prozac. Kind of nervous, does that seem like to much medication or is it pretty typical? He said I could go to every three days of the Prozac in a few days......hate second guessing him, but, well, there it is.... ;(

Nah not too much bro, I take 40mg of Lexapro, the max dosage, although I have been trying to taper off of it.
