So tonight I'm going back to the gym. I'm incredibly nervous about this. I have IST, or Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia. So my heart rate just goes high for no reason. I take beta blockers to control this and usually it does a pretty good job. But sometimes acts up.

I know a trigger for my health anxiety is exercise because it raises my heart rate. Anyone else have a trigger of working out? What do you do?

How high does your heart rate go on the treadmill?

I don't remember what it used to do. Today it got up to 140 before I slowed down when I got nervous.

Good news, I survived! I had a small panic moment, but survived and had a pretty good workout. I also had my fiancé there to help me through it, he makes me feel more sane. Gotta keep going!

140 is a limit for me but I am almost sixty. Young people can go up to 180. Few minutes after workout, the heartbeat goes down quickly. Congrats on going to gym:))
