Chloe one of the side effects if you want to call it that of SSRIs is weight gaining. I was on Celexa and gained almost 40 pounds which doesn't help with anxiety. My doctor made me stop it and told me to lose a pound a week. I'm still working on it.

Im on Zoloft, at first i lost weight, then i went back to normal & stayed there. No problem!

Hey Chloe. I actually lost some weight when I first went on Zoloft as one of the side effects (at least for me) was loss of appetite. I eventually put the weight back on, but didn't gain any additional weight. I think with these meds, side effects are case-by-case. Good luck!
