Who here finds the heat a problem for their anxiety? For me, when it gets hot I find I get ruminating thoughts that play on what effect the heat naturally has, but in my head its blown out of proportion. It's annoying cus I love summer, but this year round has been hard as the muggy heat makes me feel like I am going to pass out more! Not fun
*just remembered, trying to keep this a positive thread ;) my bad *

The heat certainly doesn't help me for feeling comfortable or thinking positively. My biggest issue is that my physical manifestations are sweating and adrenergic in nature which is just exacerbated by the heat and humidity. Which just leads to being preoccupied with that..which only worsens it. This is why I'm glad I live in a mostly cool weather area! :)

Ah feel reassured that I'm not the only one with that. I'm able to challenge my thoughts, but I sometimes get this fear when I know it's going to b a hot day. Just anxiety though, and I will NOT let it get in my way; well, on most days anyway ;)

I find running or playing sports in general can help to manage anxiety, always works for me if I'm getting really stressed out I'll go for a run and take it all out on that haha!

Agree with this, something I need to restart. Exercise releases serotonin, endorphins and other things. All those chemicals that are currently misplaced which causes our anxiety, deffo good advice to be taking :)

Glad you found something that works for you! Plenty of science to back it up as futurebound has referenced. If anything, I'd think the sheer distraction might provide some comfort and there's some interesting relationships between relative oxygen levels and anxiety.
Now I just need my own treadmill in an icebox or move to the arctic circle.
